For some reading is laborious, boring, and frustrating. For others reading is exciting, joyful, and educational. In the life of a pastor, however, reading is vital. Pastors should be readers. If we want to continue to grow as Christians, church leaders, or as pastors, reading must maintain a priority in our lives. But it is not just enough to read. You have to read the right things. The Bible must obviously demand our devotion, but there are many great books that we can read and be challenged to grow.

For that reason we have put together a book list containing books that we recommend concerning many areas of ministry and life. You can access our recommended book list by clicking here. We trust that this list may be a help to many of you as you search for books within different topics. You will notice that some sections have books that are underlined. The underline indicates books that we highly recommend in that particular area.

By recommending a particular book or author, we are not saying that we endorse every thought ever expressed by every author on this list, but we trust that by reading these books you will be edified, challenged, and blessed. I hope that this will be a tremendous help to you as you cultivate the discipline of reading.
