One primary way we glorify God is to make much of Him. One primary way we make much of Him is by obeying His precepts (His Word).
Everything, including church discipline, must begin and end with a focus on the glory of God, and nothing else will sustain us as we implement church discipline. We have to maintain a laser-beam focus on the glory of God. After all, this is what we will do for all of eternity! We are going to be trophies of grace for the glory of God.
If we desire to glorify God, it is essential that we have a child-like faith in the Word of God. The glory of God is seen in church discipline by the submission it shows to His Word. Brothers, God has given us a sufficient manual for church discipline and that is the Word of God. The Bible is not only inerrant, but It is also sufficient. If we desire to glorify God in the church, we must humbly do away with the tactics of men and submit ourselves to the Word of God.
