Ministry of the Word

The foundational ministry of God's work is the preaching of the Word of God in the power of the Spirit (2 Timothy 3:16-4:2). We strive to advance the ministry of the Word by distributing the expositional preaching of Jeff Noblit through the internet, television, radio, literature, and conferences.  More that 35,000 people per month are receiving the benefits of this ministry.

Our live and archived broadcasts of Sunday services at Grace Life Church of the Shoals are an important part of the overall ministry.  Whether it's the teaching broadcast to the church body or the edification of an individual pastor, it is always an encouragement when we hear how God uses these broadcasts in the lives of others.

The week-long getaway called "Super Camp 2011" for the students and student leaders at Grace Life Church of the Shoals was a little more than super.  It was a miraculous work of God and His Spirit as numerous young people were convicted of their sin and their need for a Savior.  One recent Sunday evening service was set apart so that the testimonies of God's grace could be shared with the church family.  One after another stood and testified of God's work in their lives.  Shortly thereafter came this uplifting testimony from Pastor Stu Henderson in New Zealand:

"A memorable & holy evening for me to sit quietly at home tonight and feel like one of the congregation, listening to so many speak of what they had received from the Lord. Jeff and the youth leaders, so refreshingly mature, humble and honest. I loved the first leader giving a context of ‘we did nothing different’ to previous years – we prayed, preached, same place and music. There was mention of ‘we prayed earnestly before camp’ and the worship leader speaking spoke of praying for 18 months for the youth by name. I was impacted by one of the leaders saying that for the past 4-5 years there was little fruit. I would very much like to recommend this to our youth leadership to give them a vision of where a faithful gospel ministry can lead. It's been good to be reminded / encouraged of what God can do when his gospel is being told and people are being discipled by faithful servants."

May God continue to use the broadcasts of Anchored in Truth to equip and encourage His church, for His glory!
