Pastoring the Jaqaru

Pastor Juan Tacsa is a Peruvian national who leads the church plant in Aiza, Peru.  In 2002, our short-term mission trip to serve alongside an International Mission Board missionary resulted in the adoption of a people group, the Jaqaru.  Several short-term mission trips later, there were several believers in the village of Aiza.  Since that time, a church building was established and regular services are held.  God has vindicated the Gospel message, and the result is a local church in the Andes Mountains where there was once not a Gospel witness!  Many short-term trips and one year-long assignment culminated with the supporting of Juan Tacsa as the pastor for these people.  Grace Life Church and Anchored in Truth are the sole supporters of Juan and his wife, and take annual trips to co-labor with him.  He routinely travels the mountains and villages of Tupe, Aiza, and Colca.  Juan has some health issues, but the Lord has sustained him.  Please pray for the church in Aiza, Juan’s health, and the anticipated new church building in Aiza.
