Grace Bible Church was planted in 2011 in the Lexington, South Carolina area. The mission of Grace Bible Church is to preach the gospel to the greater Lexington area and to the world, to see the lost saved, and the saved matured for the glory of God. Grace Bible Church is a group of believers that has been saved by grace through the work of Jesus Christ on the cross. It is a people governed by the Word of God and that therefore takes an expositional approach to preaching and teaching Scripture. It is composed of people of God saved to proclaim the gospel to a lost and dying world.
The senior pastor of Grace Bible Church is Jason Gillespie. Jason and his family moved to Columbia in 2011 to help plant GBC under the leadership of Grace Advance. Jason graduated from The Master's Seminary with an M.Div. and a B.A. in Biblical Counseling from The Master's College. During seminary, God blessed Jason with the opportunity to serve as a pastoral assistant in counseling at Grace Community Church in California. He was ordained to the gospel ministry by the Grace Community Church Elders in 2011. In addition to his training, Jason is also a member of The Association of Certified Biblical Counselors. Prior to serving in full-time ministry, Jason was a fireman for nine years in Tupelo, Mississippi. Jason and his wife Tammy have four children: Noah, Emma Grace, Anna Clair and Ava Kate.
