Pastor Oscar serves in the country of Mexico planting biblical churches for the glory of God. He is the pastor of Iglesia Biblica Fundamentos Firmes (Firm Foundations Bible Church), and his ministry includes the oversight and development of two churches, the training of leaders, and the edification of churches through the Word of God. He and his wife have three children, and their oldest daughter was just married. They serve the Lord Jesus Christ with joy, obeying the Great Commission described in Matthew 28:18-20.

July 2026 Update

Dear Brothers and Sisters at Anchored in Truth,

Warm  greetings from Mexico! It is a joy to share an update with you once again. First of all, we want to thank you so much for the financial support. It is a real blessing to us and the ministry here.

We continue to appreciate your prayers as we disciple unbelievers and new believers. We are especially grateful for a particular older couple that has joined us. God brought them to us with a hunger for Him,  saved them, and now they are growing by leaps and bounds.  It’s not easy for older people to leave their Catholic beliefs and traditions in this country, but God had prepared their hearts.  We appreciate prayers for our discipleship program.  Many people are being taught by different church members and we  praise God for each one that comes to the Lord. 

Our online Institute is on break right now, but people are starting to sign up for the next semester starting next month, so we are looking forward to continue teaching that way as well.

In September, Lord willing, we will be starting another church plant in a new area, and we appreciate prayer for God to begin opening the doors He has for us.

Our married daughter, Katia and her husband Seth are expecting their first baby the first of September (our first grandchild). So we are all excited and looking forward to the blessing of this new life in our family!
