Pastor Oscar serves in the country of Mexico planting biblical churches for the glory of God. He is the pastor of Iglesia Biblica Fundamentos Firmes (Firm Foundations Bible Church), and his ministry includes the oversight and development of two churches, the training of leaders, and the edification of churches through the Word of God. He and his wife have three children, and their oldest daughter was just married. They serve the Lord Jesus Christ with joy, obeying the Great Commission described in Matthew 28:18-20.

March 2026 Update

Warm greetings from Mexico! It is a privilege to write and share what God continues to do here in the ministry.

First of all, I thank God for the privilege of attending the True Church Conference and then the missionary conference in Selkirk, Manitoba along with my wife, Sharon.

It was a real encouragement to us and it’s always good to connect with our brothers and sisters that have the same passion of seeing healthy churches planted around the world. We enjoyed staying with Pastor Blake and his family in Selkirk, although the cold was quite an experience!

Here in Mexico, we continue serving in our two congregations, and God continues to bring people to be discipled and become part of the church family.  The churches have different ministries outreach ministries in rehab centers, hospitals, kids’ club, and one we have just started is in an orphanage for adolescent girls from 9 to 17 years old.  God is touching their wounded hearts as they are taught the Word.

We continue to work in our discipleship program – which is to teach and disciple unbelievers.  There are about 70 church members that are involved in teaching others and we have seen fruit of their labor.   To God be the glory.  We too, are discipling others and recently have seen a couple of them be saved for which we rejoice.

It has been a privilege to lead David to the Lord recently and see him grow in his new faith as we study the Word!

We also continue with our Bible Institute – training and teaching others to serve the Lord, whether it be as missionaries, church planters, or to work in their local church.  

We appreciate your prayers:

• For daily wisdom in ministry and in family
• For  our discipleship program – faithfulness in those that teach and the Lord’s work in hearts of those being taught.  For provision for this discipleship program.  
• For a strong leadership in the churches
• For the new Christians as they grow in their faith and walk with the Lord
• We are waiting for an appointment in the US embassy in Mexico for our son’s US resident papers.  Please pray that it will be before his 18^th birthday so he will also be granted his citizenship.  (Being adoption, it has been a long process)
