Pastor Oscar serves in the country of Mexico planting biblical churches for the glory of God. He is the pastor of Iglesia Biblica Fundamentos Firmes (Firm Foundations Bible Church), and his ministry includes the oversight and development of two churches, the training of leaders, and the edification of churches through the Word of God. He and his wife have three children, and their oldest daughter was just married. They serve the Lord Jesus Christ with joy, obeying the Great Commission described in Matthew 28:18-20.

May 2026 Update

IT IS A GOOD THING TO GIVE THANKS UNTO THE LORD Psalms 92:1

Dear Brothers and Sisters of Anchored in Truth, 

Warm greetings from Mexico once again.  

Today we give thanks to the Lord for His goodness to us and for the privilege of serving Him here in Mexico.

We thank God that this month we are going to celebrate our 17^th anniversary of our first church plant – Firm Foundations Bible Church.   We glorify and honor the Lord for all the souls that have been saved and added to the family of Christ. We are trusting the Lord to start another church plant in September of this year.  God has already been opening doors.

God continues to bring people to our discipleship program to be taught through the Scriptures.  Many of our church members are teaching unbelievers and we are seeing God bring people to Himself.   Today we are going to meet with a couple that we had started teaching about 10 years ago, then we lost contact with them.   To our surprise, after all these years, they showed up at church and are showing interest in studying God’s Word!  We appreciate your prayers for their salvation.

Next month be having another graduation for our online Bible Institute where we are training church members and others to strengthen them in the Word and equip them for service.  We thank God for everything He is doing in their lives.
